The Melrose Kitchen tour is back as the Melrose Kitchen-Sustainability Tour to be held rain or shine on Sunday May 17th from 12:30 to 4:30PM.
The tour will be for the benefit of Red Hawk Robotics and support a much stronger connection to the team than it did in the past. “Most of the sustainable systems in our home have a very strong technology basis. Red Hawk Robotics creates future engineers that can understand and drive forward this technology”, said James Horne Executive Producer of the Kitchen Tour. Many people in the community have heard of things like induction cook tops, or heat pump hot water heaters, but have not been able to be in a home, talk to owners about their experience and actually see and experience these technology wonders.”, noted Gary Lamothe. In addition to the home owners the Melrose Energy and Climate Group plan to locate subject matter experts in homes that can act as coaches after the tour. “Melrose loves this event and how deeply it engages both the residents and business of Melrose, which is why the Chamber of Commerce is so interested to sponsor it”, noted Stephanie Nelson Director of the Chamber of Commerce.
Right now the tour is open for home nominations from anchor sponsors, with ticket sales going on line in April. The tour is also open for volunteers. If you can speak knowledgeable about sustainable systems, or just want to help out fill out our volunteer form. Nominations, volunteers and updates can be found at www.redhawkrobotics.org/tour.
